Age Edits Validations – Data quality enhancement
The new validations will:
- Check the age of the client to determine whether information about the client or services received by a client are valid given the age of the client.
- Implement validation to prevent the creation of status updates and/or monthly extracts until errors within client records have been resolved.
- In-line errors describing what information is not valid for the age of the client, these errors can be found in:
- Support Period tabs
- Notes tab (SHS Services)
- Status Update tabs
- Extract process
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) has developed training material to assist with the change. The training material can be found: Here: SHIP data quality enhancements – August 2023.
