28 October 2020 – SHIP VIC Enhancements

A software update was released to SHIP VIC

SHIP VIC enhancements were recently made to strengthen data capture relating to consultations without a person record, contact types and detailed accommodation stay information for both specialist family violence and homelessness agencies.

The release includes the following new features:

  • A new repository, “Support Actions”, will provide agencies with the ability to record and report on actions relating to secondary consultations and consultations with people where a person record is unable to be obtained
  • The ability to record and report on accommodation sub-types for both specialist family violence and homelessness agencies.
  • Expanded contact types targeted at both specialist family violence and homelessness agencies.

Detailed explanation of the changes

Family Safety Victoria and the Department of Health and Human Services have developed a detailed Operational Guide and Tip Sheet to accompany the changes.
