19th August – SRS Update

A software update was released to selected SRS environments

Please note, some of the features outlines in these notes depend on configuration options. If you identify a feature from these notes that interests you, but is not currently available in your configuration, please contact Infoxchange

The release includes the following new features:

Telstra Pre Paid Mobile Top Up
Telstra Top up provides a complimentary $30 recharge to those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and/or family violence, who use a Telstra pre-paid mobile phone.

All eligible SHS workgroups who have registered for Telstra Top ups, more than a week ago are now live. You may access the Telstra Top up by clicking on a mobile number in the person details. Once you click on the Telstra Top up button there is Online Help with more information. Telstra Top up is also available in the Enquiry function for SHS workgroups using Enquiry.

Co-ordinators for SHS workgroups can register for Telstra Top-up here (please complete one registration form for each SHS workgroup).

If you have any questions in relation to Telstra Top up please contact Infoxchange via [email protected] or phone 1300 366 516.

HSNet – SRS Integration
Integration has been added to allow organisations using SRS in NSW to send and receive referrals to/from HSNet. Initially this feature will only be available for SHS services using the cims-nsw instance. Services will be invited to confirm their service directory details before this function is enabled for each service. In the first place, it will only be possible to send referrals from CIMS to HSNet.

User Management

There has been a significant update to the user management interface.  This update will be rolled out to all customers over coming months.  The update is part of Infoxchange’s continued focus on improving application security. This update will include:

  • Requirement to set regular review dates on user access and workgroup membership. Review frequency can be set by policy.
  • Filter to allow an administrator or coordinator to easily view the list of users due for review in coming weeks.
  • Requirement to record reason for adding or changing user workgroup membership details.
  • For Azure users, the user creation process has been simplified. Users can now be created in SRS and allocated to a workgroup before they first log in.  This feature is only available as part of the updated User Management interface.
  • New guidelines have been created for the updated version of Azure AD Application Registration.

Further information about these changes will be circulated to customers prior to release.

Indigenous Languages

Most organisations now utilise the full ABS Australian Standard Classification of Languages (ASCL 2016).  This is a requirement for organisations reporting to either the DSS or SHS data collections.  The previous language options allowed users to select regional level Indigenous language groups.  These are not valid options for the DSS or SHS data collections.  The actual Indigenous language must be selected.  Users with this configuration will be required to update client details and select the actual language spoken.  It is still possible to select the language option for ‘not elsewhere classified’ (nec) for each language group.

Other Minor Enhancements

This release also includes a number of other minor enhancements and bug fixes.
