Feature Updates
MARAM Tools in SHIP and SRS
- The Adult and Child Risk Assessment tools will be updated with additional fields included in the auto-population process. The main change is that ALL “further relevant details” fields in the ‘Assessment’ tab and ALL “Support Planned” fields in the Needs Assessment tab are now auto-populated. Note however that some of the Yes/No/Not Known responses will still need to be reconsidered and re-answered and the auto-populated comment field amended if necessary. This prompts to the user to reconsider some of the important risk assessment questions without requiring them to re-enter lengthy ‘further details’ where the answer hasn’t changed. In addition, several other fields throughout the tool that weren’t previously included in auto-population are now added, including the temporary/bridging visa and threats to immigration status questions.
- The Adult and Child Risk Assessment tools will be updated to remove the double entry of diverse communities the client identifies as belonging to. These details now only need to be entered once in ‘The Client’ tab and no longer need to be entered in the ‘Status’ tab.
- The Adult Risk Assessment tool will be updated with a new question “Did they threaten or use a weapon in the most recent event?”. This is a subsidiary question and will appear when you answer yes to “Have they ever threatened or used a weapon against you?”. The new question is mapped to the risk factor regarding use of weapon in most recent event.
- The Child Risk Assessment tool ‘Needs Assessment’ tab will be updated with a new support area for ‘Learning and education’ and amended names for the Justice and Health support areas – now ‘Justice and legal issues’ and ‘Health and wellbeing’.
- The Safety Plan tool ‘Coordinated action planning’ tab will be updated with new options in the drop down field for “Identified risk factor”. New risk factor options include emotional abuse and property damage, and there are several new ones for risks to children.
- The ‘MARAM Tools’ view (available from the menu at the top left-hand side in SHIP under ‘Days’) has been updated so that Normal Users can no longer view assessments and plans undertaken by other users in their workgroup. However, users with Coordinator access will still be able to view assessments and plans undertaken by all users across their entire workgroup, as before. This change has been made to improve privacy.
- The ‘MARAM Tools’ view will also now be filterable according to name of client, name of the person using violence, risk level of assessment and status of assessment (Coordinators will also be able to filter by worker). To activate filters click ‘Show Filters’.
The MARAM Tools in SHIP User Guide has been updated to reflect these change and can be found at: User Guides
